Snowboarding Trip
|

|
For MLK weekend, we went to Big Bear, CA where Blake took his 1st trip on the slopes. He snowboarded like a pro. He self-taught himself by watching youtube videos. His athletic ability was very impressive! I couldn't hit the slopes since I'm preggers, so instead I worked on all the craft decorations for a baby shower I'm hosting in a few weeks. We didn't get much sleep, so I can't say it was relaxing, but with all the game playing, fresh air, and nature, it was truly a blast!

Merry Christmas!

We truly enjoyed celebrating our Savior's birth among reflecting on all our blessings this year!
To have a tree full of presents underneath was really a testimony to God providing in spite of our hard economic times!
Jace got his garbage truck! He has wanted one for over a year. He loves them soooo much he sleeps with his library book about garbage truck. He hides it under his pillow!
JoJo got her first series of girl toys: a dollhouse, a barbie car, and a barbie family.
Jrue got two space books and really cool rocketship!
Among a handful games that will be useful during our family time in the evenings, our children really enjoyed all their new toys!

Today we went to Peter Piper Pizza where the kids got to take a tour of the kitchen. They saw Andrew make the pizza dough, they saw the machine that cuts the cheese and they visited their huge refrigerator where they store all the toppings.
They were instructed to wash their hands and then had the chance to make their own pizzas. They spread the cheese and then placed the pepperonis on their personal pizza. They got to watch it go into the oven and then enjoy their labor for lunch!
It was a great morning!

Christmas Kick Off

Thanksgiving was only over for a few hours before the Christmas bug hit me! I am already very excited about this Christmas Season. Each year I get a better understanding and a deeper appreciation for our Savior's humbling birth. Only a few days into December and we have enjoyed plenty of Christmas activities!

Jace's New Ride
|
|
Grandpop surprised Jace with a new ride for his birthday. Blake picked up the package at Walmart, we got it home about 10 pm that night, Jace stayed up until 1 am until it was finished. We forced him to go to bed. Once he woke up, he returned to his car and stayed there from 7 am until 4pm until the battery was ready for it to be charged.
Once the battery was ready, we set out on the town. He had a little difficulty driving it, the concept of keeping his foot on the gas was new, he looked like a newbie learning to drive a stick shift. But soon enough, with the coaching of daddy he got it down and we went around the block!
It was very funny watching Blake direct him on how to drive. I think I got a glimpse of what it will be like when Jace turns 16!

Thanksgiving Potluck
|
|
What an awesome idea to have a potluck, a week before actual Thanksgiving Day! That way we got to enjoy 2x the yummy food!
Our mommy group met at the local park, we ate, the kids did a turkey craft made from their handprints and footprints! We also sang a few turkey day songs. One I learned from my Aunt Michelle, and one about a turkey from Albequrue! Very fun day! The kids left exhausted!
The menu: turkey, stuffing, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, muffins, & cupcakes!

Happy Halloween!

Jace was Ironman and Jojo was a Pumpkin Fairy!
We first went to the local church's Fall Festival Carnival, where we all had a blast. The kids got to play games and win candy!
Then we headed to our friends' the Brushaber's home to go trick or treating! We walked a few blocks and the kids filled their buckets with all the candy they could imagine!
